Who We Help

Since 1951 Women’s Division Chamber of Commerce has been dedicated to working together to improve our community. Through our monthly granting, annual projects, and fundraisers we are able to support the varying needs of our local organizations. Our volunteers provide a helping hand wherever possible.

Monthly Gifting

Each month, WDCC is proud to support local non-profits. Last year, we gave back more than $213,000 to our community. This summer, we proudly supported these wonderful organizations through our grants:

Annual Projects

These are special causes that have earned a place in our hearts, and are all made possible by the generosity of our members.

WDCC members buy Christmas gifts for residents in area nursing homes. The beautifully wrapped gifts make the seniors feel special. It is the highlight of our year and a blessing for the WDCC elves who deliver them.

Hackley House Parlor Decorating

Travel back in time to see the Hackley House in 19th century style. Our members help decorate the parlors beautifully for Christmas each year.

Power of Produce Club

The Power Of Produce (POP) Club is a nationally recognized program to empower kids to make healthy food choices. WDCC volunteers will contribute over 150 hours at the Muskegon Farmers' Market to help the kids enrolled in the program.

The 2019 program will run from June 8th - September 29th.

Mobile Food Pantry

WDCC sponsors four Mobile Food Pantries each summer to help fight hunger in our community. Through this, we've been able to feed hundreds of individuals and families.
Our 2019 dates: May 28th, June 25th, August 27th & September 24th

Our “Daisy-Head Mayzie” team raised $3876.67 for this worthy cause!

Item of the Month Program

Our Item-of-the-Month Program is a volunteer program where our members generously donate small items that are requested by local non-profits: school supplies, snacks for after school programs, personal care items, pet supplies, and more.  December is our Adopt-a-Senior Program and August is our Member Memorial Scholarship Program.
