Who We Help
Through our annual events and fundraisers, we lend support to many organizations, non-profits, and community projects. Our volunteers provide a helping hand to many in need.

WDCC members buy Christmas gifts for residents in area nursing homes who are without family to cherish them during the holidays.
The gifts are wrapped elaborately so the senior is made to feel special. It is the highlight of our year and a blessing for the WDCC elves who deliver them.
Hackley House Parlor Decorating
Travel back in time to see the Hackley House in 19th century style. Our members help decorate the parlors beautifully for Christmas each year.
Power of Produce Club
The Power Of Produce (POP) Club is a nationally recognized kids program to empower kids to make healthy food choices. WDCC volunteers contributed over 144 hours in 2017 at the Muskegon Farmers' Market to help the kids enrolled in the program.
Over 665 kids were enrolled this past summer, with 500 of them enrolled in the first 3 weeks! The 2018 program runs from June 2nd - September 30th.
Mobile Food Pantry
WDCC sponsors four Mobile Food Pantries each summer to help fight hunger in our community. Through this, we've been able to feed hundreds of individuals and families.
Relay for Life
The Relay for Life Committee of 2017 raised $3,050 surpassing last year’s $2,700. It's just one of the ways we help in the fight against cancer.
Younker's Community Days
Younker's Community Days coupon booklets are a big help in our fundraising efforts. Our November booklets sales brought in $2745.16...our best year ever!
Each year, WDCC gives scholarships to deserving male and female students attending Muskegon Community College or Muskegon Baker College.
To date, we've awarded over $100,000 in scholarships!
Item of the Month Program
Our Item-of-the-Month Program is a volunteer program where our members generously donate small items that are requested by local non-profits: school supplies, snacks for after school programs, personal care items, pet supplies, and more. December is always our Adopt-a-Senior Program and August is for our Member Memorial Scholarship Fund.
"Love INC of Muskegon County truly values our partnership with WDCC and all they do to encourage and aid in the development of our community."
