Holiday Party and GMM

Theme: Ugly Sweater
December 11th
Location and details soon!

aDOPT A SENIOR

Each holiday season, we make a difference in the lives of many lonely seniors.

For the last 16 years, we have been adopting seniors and it has become dear to many of our hearts. We work with several nursing homes, and the staff puts together a list of things the person wants/needs. This is typed up on a holiday tag. At the November GMM, you can choose a tag and go out shopping, buying what you would like from the tag.

  • Wrap the present beautifully and attach the tag securely to the outside of the gift.

  • Please bring the wrapped gift to the December Holiday Party on December 11th.

  • If you have any questions, please contact Dianne Bernd.

Member-Mentor Mixer

Our mentor mixer, hosted by the WDCC Ambassador and Leadership Committee, opened doors to valuable relationships and growth opportunities for new members. Heather Krueger opened up her beautiful home along with co-host Cheryl Deford and served delicious appetizers and beverages. Thank you ladies for a beautiful evening fostering new friendships and lasting relationships for our organization.

Footprints in History
of Muskegon County, Michigan

The Muskegon County Genealogical Society has published their second volume of Muskegon History entitled, "Footprints in History" of Muskegon County, Michigan. The history of WDCC is featured in the book along with a picture of the Board of Directors from 2022-2023 taken in front of the newly dedicated One Drop sculpture.

Thank you to member Jackie Engel for submitting our story for inclusion in the book. Parts of the history were written by Cindy Timmerman. Credit can also be given for an article written by angel member Elaine McCulloch in 2013.

Angel Members...gone but never forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, WDCC donates $100 into the Member Memorial Scholarship Fund. Members, family and friends may also donate in honor of that person.

Our angels are greatly missed by all of us.

Heritage Members

Heritage Members are honored annually at the May luncheon for 15 or more years of service. We are grateful for their dedication to WDCC…they are a blessing to our organization and to our members.

Cumulatively, these members have faithfully served over 1067 years of service!
