This August, we were proud to award six $1000 WDCC Scholarships to deserving students attending Muskegon Community College or Baker College Muskegon.
These funds help students pursue their education goals and dreams. We’re grateful for the generous donations from family members as they honor their loved ones through their support of our scholarship program.
Last year, we awarded ten recipients with a $1,000 Scholarship to either Muskegon Community College or Muskegon Baker College. Six of the scholarships were funded from the WDCC treasury, and four were funded by the Member Memorial Scholarship Fund which honors our “Angels” or friends of members who have passed away.

Anyone can donate to our scholarship fund, and we are grateful for all the donations we receive to help outstanding students continue their education and pursue their dreams.
What's the difference between a WDCC Scholarship and a
Member Memorial Scholarship?
The WDCC awards multiple $1000 Scholarships annually to young people in our community who will be attending Muskegon Community College or Muskegon Baker College full-time. These scholarships are open to female and male high school seniors or students currently attending one of these colleges. Applications are available on this site beginning mid-October with a deadline in mid-March.
The prestigious Member Memorial Scholarship fund (MMS) is awarded to top candidates who demonstrate a desire to improve our community by giving back through community service. The MMS is designed to honor our deceased members and is awarded in $1000 increments. The scholarship is given in the names of those deceased members who are being honored through donations. Recipients are deserving female or male students attending Muskegon Community College or Muskegon Baker College.
